Meet Lee Moodley
Africa’s Leading Functional Range Systems Specialist

Lee Moodley didn’t plan to become a movement therapist. After completing a degree in Finance and Economics, working in project management, the demands of corporate life took a serious toll on his mental health. That personal experience sent him on a journey that would change everything.
Introduced to Budokon — a Mixed Movement Arts system blending yoga, calisthenics, mobility, and mindfulness — Lee found a framework that brought his mind and body back into balance. It became more than a practice. It became his purpose to help other find this balance.
He went on to become a yoga teacher at Virgin Active, one of South Africa’s leading gym groups, rapidly rising to Regional Yoga Mentor and pioneering their first-ever hot yoga studio in the world. But Lee quickly realised that true mind-body healing required more than what a mainstream gym or yoga studio could offer. So he made the leap — and Kinisi Therapy was born.
At the heart of the Kinisi Method is Functional Range Systems (FRS) — a research-based approach to joint health, mobility, and nervous system training. Lee is currently the highest-certified FRS provider on the African continent, blending this expertise with yoga, somatic movement, rehabilitation, and personalised training to deliver results that last.
His work has been recognised internationally, earning him both the Brainz 500 Global Award— honours reserved for entrepreneurs making a meaningful impact in their field.
